Victoria’s Secret angel Taylor Hill dropped by CBS Sports Radio on Monday to preview The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which airs Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
Hill, 19, will be performing in the show for the second time, but she won’t be any less nervous than she was her first time. In fact, she’ll be even more nervous.
“It doesn’t get any better,” she said on Gio and Jones, laughing. “The more you do it, the more nervous you get, the more pressure you have. People know you now and the expect you to be good. As you get older and you keep doing it, people are like, ‘Oh, she has to be amazing.’ So you have more pressure.”
Hill, however, said the pressure is more external than internal.
“I don’t put a lot of pressure on myself,” she said. “I don’t take it too seriously. I try to have fun because it’s fun. You’re supposed to be there and have fun and the energy is exciting and high. Obviously I’m very nervous, but I’m not doing it to myself. Everyone else is doing it.”
Hill said that modeling and performing in the show is “empowering as a woman.”
“You get to have fun,” she said. “It’s beautiful. It’s Victoria’s Secret.”
It’s also huge for Hill’s career. A model participating in this fashion show, Gregg Giannotti said, is like an NFL player playing in the Super Bowl.
“It’s true,” Hill said. “For a model, it’s one of the biggest things that you can do. The press you get, the exposure you get into the fashion industry – it’s incredible.”
