Gio And Jones Weekly Rewind 7/6-7/10

DEREK ANDERSON – 7/6/15
Former NBA guard

“I don’t think you need that type of scoring. You got every scoring that you want. When Kyrie was healthy, you got all the points that you needed. You needed someone to protect the rim better. I think they have their bigs. I just think they haven’t played a whole season. I think now that they’ve played through this playoffs and did what they needed to do – and they need someone to actually make the system work. Having LeBron dominate the ball the entire game, he ran out of gas. Your star player shouldn’t run out of gas. If you got that much talent around you, you need to have other people helping. Now people being healthy – Love, Kyrie – I think you don’t need any help. Just keep the team you have and let them finish out this year. If you want something else, go after them the following year if this doesn’t work. But I think the team the Cavs have now is enough. They don’t need anything else.”

PETER FEIGIN – 7/8/15
Bucks president

“We’ve put out a plan to really kind of transform Milwaukee and build the district – much like things you’ve seen in Kansas City or Columbus, Ohio, or what they’ve done in Oklahoma City. How do you build an area where people just don’t go to games and concerts, (but where) people live, work and play? So the economic impact is tremendous in what it does for jobs, what it does for taxes (and) what it does for real estate values.”

LATVIAN RAPPER EDZUS KAUKULIS ON PORZINGIS SONG – 7/9/15

“We have a lot of rap musicians in Latvia, but I think now we are the most famous in Latvia because we are the only band in Latvia whose song is played in the United States. Now we are saying we are the most popular group from Latvia in the United States. This is our first hit song, and I think it’s quite good (for the first hit).”
